Military Spouse Career Prep Rally 1Celeste, our Co-Founder and Director of Operations shares her experience with an in-person Career Prep Rally that took place in Washington state:

I would like to give a "Shout Out" to Angela O'Connell, USAF AMC 92 FSS/FSFR Community Readiness Consultant for bringing the USAF Aid Society Grant, and Mary Thomas, 141 ARW Airman & Family Program Manger.  They brought the MSF Career Planning and Entrepreneurial Development Program Onsite Training to the spouses there in Fairchild AFB in Spokane Washington area.

Military spouse careerAnd of course I want to give a "Shout Out" to the fantastic spouses who attended.  What an incredible group.  As an Instructor I get "juiced" when I'm among motivated people who are really focused on their own growth and have a real desire to keep moving forward and share as they go.  That was the experience at the Onsite Training that kicked off the MSF April 8th Prep Rally.

Dan Riley, the course developer and lead instructor, and I were so impressed with the varied levels of experience, education, and interests in the 2 groups.  They represented a wide variety with diverse interest in career preparation and entrepreneurial development.  That made for a lot of interesting discussion and shared learning opportunities, which fit right into the Transferable Skills, Interviewing, Resume and Networking course curriculum.

After completing the Onsite Training, the spouses continue their work in the MSF Career Planning and Entrepreneur Program, inside the Online EDU Center.  Once you become a MSF Spouse and start the program, you have access to everyone in the program, the spouses, the mentors, and the instructors, no matter where they are.  Now THAT's networking!

If you or your Key Spouse Network or FRG's are interested in a similar program, I would love to explore possibilities with you.  Give me a call, or put me in touch with anyone interested.  Let's do a little bit of "Networking", military spouse style!!
